So my sort of “resolution” is to see more movies. In theaters.
I love going to the movies, I just never do.
The Social Network was fantastic, and I wanna see Black Swan soon.
I also want to see:
The King’s Speech
And The Fighter
I just found out that 127 Hours is playing at Emagine! I might have to do a double feature one of these days
oh god i’d love to join you for all of those, even though i’ve already seen them
That’d be an awesome time! Have you ever checked out the Farmington Civic Theater in downtown Farmington? Its a really cool old theater that has cheap tickets and concessions! That’s how I saw The Social Network
I brought Dan Allen with me to school, my teacher let him sit in on a screenwriting class. Dan has a natural ability with people. He can speak so well to people and is super outgoing. Having someone I’ve known for a while in class with me was refreshing.
We had callbacks today for our films. I brought back 2 guys: Brock and Joe, and a girl named Lauren. Lauren is exactly what I needed for this role. Somebody to play a dead, heroin addicted ex girlfriend who is a figment of this guy’s imagination, basically a symbol of his guilt. She looks the part and can act.
I just have to decide on my actor now. Both of these guys were great, so it’ll be hard to decline somebody, I HATE the feeling of having to hurt somebody’s feeling or let them down. I’m too nice of a person.
I’m excited for this upcoming month. It’ll be busy with all the filming I’ll do for my own movie, and helping out others with theirs, I’ll even be acting as well, busy month. And I STILL don’t even have my thesis thought of yet.
I just hope I don’t get annoyed with having to drive all the way out to the east side all the time. All this traveling really knows how to wear me out. At least I had someone to drive around with this time.
I really thought my A.D.D wasn’t too much of a problem. I was wrong.
I have the worst time staying on track in my work. I simply can’t work if a computer is around. I’m trying to do my work early though so that way I have time to relax in the long run.
I’ve found out that I actually like writing. Screenwriting to be specific. Its hard for me to get into it, but once I get past that point, I really enjoy it.
This next month will probably be a busy one, I’ll be shooting my next short film, and helping out my classmates with theirs.
I just want to be fully prepared for when I get on the set of my next one. I’m really trying to get my directing skills intact. I love the feeling of someone asking me if I’m working on any new movies and I can tell them I am, even if its my own and some other independent works
